The first day: Suxianling- national AAAA landscape

Suxianling is famous for its legend of Suxian. You can find many traces of this celestial being there, like White deer cave, Ascending immortals rock, Mother-gazing pine. Because of its charming natural sceneries and religious culture, Suxianling got the fame as “the top blessing place of China” and “famous scenic spot of south Hunan province” from ancient time. On the Suxianling rock surface, it was engraved one Ci poem “Treading on Grass - Chenzhou Hotel”composed by Qing Shaoyou, post scripted by Su Shi and handwritten by Mi Pei. After the Xi’an Incident, general Zhang Xueliang was once arrested in Suxianling where he wrote the famous poem to express his depression.
The famous sceneries of Suxianling are: Taohuaju, White deer cave, Jingxing temple, Ascending immortals rock, Mother-gazing pine, Suxian temple, etc..

The second day: Dongjianghu Lake- national AAAAA landscape

It is about 30 minutes drive from Chenzhou center city to Dongjianghu lake landscape.
Dongjiang Lake is the biggest artificial lake in the central China as well as one of the training bases for national aqua sports. It covers 160 square meters with 8.1 billion water reservation capacity and is as big as half of Dongting Lake. It is surrounded with green forests and mist-covered water, making the lake look like a fairy land. There are one central island and 13 peninsulas with amazing views in Dongjiang Lake. When travelling in Dongjiang Lake, You can enjoy the fogging in Dongjiang river, monkey ancient mountain fall, and Dongjiang dam- the first hyperbolic shell arch dam designed and constructed by China and ranking second in the world and first in Asia. If all those are not so exciting as you imagine, Dongjiang driftage-“the First driftage in China” would definitely not disappoint you.
