The Xiangnan Botanical Garden covers an area of 267 hectares, with a core area of 40.2 hectares. It consists of cherry garden, lagerstroemia indica garden, camellia garden, taxus garden, and magnolia garden. There are now 361 species of wild plants and over 100 species of medicinal plants in the garden. More than 40% of the total plant species have high development value. It has the richest plant resources in southern Hunan and is an urban “green lung”.
