At the end of summer and the beginning of autumn, in Beiji village grows a kind chilly which is very high and looks like a large and tall umbrella. Its fruit is big, round in appearance and thick in fresh. Because of its shape, it is called as "Lantern Chilly", but some grows as long as 30 cm and as heavy as 100 g, and it looks like the horn of the cattle, so it is called "Cattle Horn Chilly". The local people often carry large dans of such chilly, green and red, shimmering, which is very attractive.

The fresh of lantern chilly is thick and sweet. If taken out of its seeds, put into meat stuffing, fried in hot oil, and dusted with spring onion, monosodium glutamate, powder, it will become a cate and the best dish to stimulate one’s appetite. Generally speaking, whoever comes to Zixin would call for this dish.
