The Feitian Mountain National Geopark, located in the middle reaches of Dongjiang River, boasts unique natural landscapes such as canyons, mountains, clear water, as well as famous historical sites such as cliff carvings, hanging coffins, and Shifo Temple. Besides, it has the rare Danxia landscape. 

 

 

 

Wangxian Ridge is the first choice for leisure, summer retreat, and water play in the urban area of Chenzhou. There are towering mountains as well as a water park.

 

 

 

The Wangxian Waterfall cascades down from a cliff over 40 meters high, which is very spectacular.

 

There is a hiking trail built along the mountain and the stream, which leads directly to the top of the mountain, with pavilions along the way. Wangxian Ridge has a forest coverage rate of over 90%. The inexhaustible mountain spring water on it is a natural water source for the water park. Tourists can enjoy the coolness in the clear and refreshing mountain spring water.

 

 

 

Suxian Ridge, with the main peak of 526 meters above sea level, has been known as one of the “18 Blessed Land Under Heaven” since ancient times. Tourists can visit places of interest and breathe fresh air to dispel fatigue and refresh themselves. 

 

 

 

The Yangtian Lake Grassland is located at the top of a high mountain at an altitude of 1,314 meters in Chenzhou City, and is the southernmost alpine grassland in China. It’s famous for its alpine meadows, with nearly 60,000 mu (4,000 hectares) of the rarest alpine grassland landscape in the southern China. The undulating grassland is quite unlike the vast flat one in the north. Besides, it’s the grassland with the longest green grass period in China, lasting for 9 months.

 

 

 

From March to November, the entire mountain is a sea of green grass. The rich natural landscapes, like mountains, grasslands, lakes, and wetlands, make it popular.

 

 

 

The Yangtian Lake Canyon River Tracing Project, over two kilometers long, as the most distinctive outdoor activity in hot summer, has low equipment requirements. The general public can participate in it to experience the fun of outdoor water play in summer.

 

 

 

In 2023, Yangtian Lake Grassland Camp was rated as a national 5C-level campsite. It’s the only 5C-level campsite in Hunan Province and the largest and most active campsite in the province. There is an outdoor starry sky cinema, outdoor KTV, and outdoor barbecue.

 

 

 

 

The Wanhua Rock Scenic Area, with warm and humid air, is filled with stalactites. 

 

 

 

The “underwater crystal cone” here, one of the only two worldwide, is the only one in China. It is a rare wonder of karst caves in the world.

 

 

 

Wanhua Cave Rafting, known as the “world’s first rafting cave", is 1,800 meters long, with a drift difference of 87 meters. With eighteen bends and twenty-five spots, it brings a visual and physical stimulation to tourists. 

 

The Jiulong River National Forest Park boasts an extremely high forest coverage rate, with an average annual temperature of about 17 degrees Celsius, making it the perfect place to escape the heat. 

 

 

 

 

There are about 12 waterfalls of various sizes in the scenic area, and it’s even cooler near the waterfalls. Moreover, tourists can go upstream along the valley. There will be staff to assist at key nodes throughout the process.
