Recently, in Guidong county of Chenzhou city, the county's cadre and staffs actively promote the donation for "urban & rural greening" under the demonstration of county leaders. Dongluo, Qiaotou, Shatian and other towns actively take actions to make the landscape design and green trees planting in their ereas.

To promote urban & rural greening project and establish "Ecological Guidong", Guidong county plans to invest RMB 540 million on the greening of "two edges (road and river)", "two surroundings (city and country)", "four wastes ( waste mountain, desolate sands, waste lands and waste valleys)" and "San Tai Shan national forest park" in three years, which realize full greening of whole county's urban and rural areas and form an ecological landscape series of "green screen of mountain, green net of banks, green shade of roads, and green landscape of urban & rural" to create national grade ecological county and provincial grade garden county.

At the present, Guidong county's greening coverage is about 1.769 million square meters, green land area is 1.607 million square meters, public green land area is 0.25 million square meter which is with the greening coverage rate of 31.5%, green land rate of 32.14% and per capita green land area 6.26 square meters. Now Guidong county gradually form the characteristic landscape that "city is on the forest, road is under the green trees, and building is in the garden".
