Chenzhou tourism industry development and international tourism festival mobilization meeting was held in Zixing city on July 11, 2012. It was required by the meeting that Chenzhou leisure travel brand “city in the forest, leisure city” should be popularized and 2012 Hunan international tourism festival and second Chenzhou international leisure travel festival should be well operated. General Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee- Xiang Lili delivered a significant speech at the meeting, Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou city- Qu Hai addressed the work report, and Deputy Director of Hunan Tourism Ministry- Liu Miansong made a speech there.

Xiang Lili stated that Chenzhou should fully understand and seize the chance of tourism industry development. The high speed railway construction in the whole nation has changed the structure of China tourism and enabled tourism to be the pushing hand of domestic demand increase. Meanwhile, as a way of adjustment of economy structure, to accelerate the tourism development is an unavoidable trend.

Xiang added that in order to propel the tourism industry transformation and upgrading, Chenzhou government should forcefully popularize the leisure travel brand to meet the demands of different levels, tourists and aspects and forge Chenzhou to be “city in the forest, leisure city”. Chenzhou government also should accelerate the fine travel project construction with high level programming, construction and standard management to forge the first level and influential landscapes, such as Dongjiang lake’s 5A landscape creation, Mangshan’s national tourism resort area, Feitianshan new tourism city’s integrated development etc..

Xiang required that the tourism colony development should be well propelled on the basis of six elements like food, accommodation, traffic, travel, shopping, and entertainment. The leading tourism industries and supporting industries should be scientifically programmed with the great industry and tourism concept and without limitation of the industry and area. The tourism commodities with Chenzhou features should be forcefully developed to match with other industries by forging an industry chain and tourism colony. Chenzhou Tourism Investment Group should be taken as a platform to promote regional tourism system and mechanism innovation, and strive to promote the intensive, large-scale development of city's tourism industry.

Xiang emphasized that the international tourism festival should be run with the whole city’s effort. All the departments should pay high attention to planning and making the festival to be the most successful, distinguished and influential one in the history.

Quhai pointed out that all the work should be carried out under the leisure travel theme and strategy of “fine brand”, “resource integration” and “mechanism innovation” should be energetically carried out for fully propelling tourism industry transformation and its brand promotion construction. All of those were aimed at constructing Chenzhou to be a national famous tourism destination. Furthermore, tourism key projects should be forcefully boosted with upgrading tourism service quality.

Hunan international tourism festival opening ceremony and second Chenzhou international leisure travel festival should be prepared fast with full effort. Every detail should be arranged earlier with high standards and requirements. Departments at all levels should cooperate to improve the tourism upgrading.
 

Liu Miansong highly affirmed Chenzhou tourism industry development and stated that Chenzhou should strengthen leisure travel with more tourism commodities, further confirm the tasks and try to present a splendid tourism festival to the people worldwide.

At the meeting, governments from every administrative county and city of Chenzhou submitted the responsibility paper of tourism target while some advanced units and individuals got rewarded at the meeting.

Mao Tengfei- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee hosted the meeting. Municipal leaders Chen Shezhao, He Wenjun, Liao Yuegui, Zhang Aiguo, Zhou Yingchun, Liting, Tang Guodong, and Li Xuelian participated in it.
