In recent years, many activities like picnic, camping and cooking tea around the stove have sprung up. More and more people who live in cities are eager to get close to the nature.
Zhong Shuiquan, born in Cuijiang Village, Wulipai Town, Suxian District of Chenzhou city, returned to his hometown for starting a business from Guangzhou. Now he runs the Misty Cuijiang River Camp.
In March, the Misty Cuijiang River Camp attracts many tourists to spend their leisure time.
Zhong Shuiquan, 42 years old, who worked hard in Guangzhou for more than 20 years, finally returned to his hometown and built the Misty Cuijiang River Camp through a year’s effort.
Based on the local tourism resources, Zhong Shuiquan and his friends set up Hunan Cuijiangwan Cultural Tourism Development Co., LTD., and developed the Chenzhou Cuijiangwan Rural Cultural Tourism & Homestay Development project, aiming to make Cuijiang village a tourist attraction integrating leisure sports, farming folk customs, study tour, and homestay wellness.
The Misty Cuijiang River Camp is the first phrase of this project. Since its opening in November 2022, the number of visitors has reached 30,000.
This project also boosted the employment of Cuijiang Village. At present, nearly 20 villagers are working in the camp and their wish to work near their homes has come true.
At present, the Misty Cuijiang River Camp is under expansion for a campsite which can accommodate a hundred people for team building. The catering and homestay projects in Phase II and the study tour projects in Phase III are also being planned. Zhong Shuiquan and his team will make good use of the rural resources to promote the ecological industry and the rural revitalization.
