There are 1,296 people from 345 households living in the Danxia mountain with an area of more than 3,000 mu (200 hectares). Rapeseeds are planted on the stone ditches, caves and scattered soil blocks in the mountain.  

 

Every March, the red Danxia mountain and golden rapeseed flowers in Shichong Village form a beautiful picture, attracting many tourists around the country. 

 

 

In recent years, Shichong Village has focused on quality improvement. It planted 200 mu (about 13.33 hectares) of lotus by use of the reservoir in the mountain. Red and white lotus flowers are blooming starting from July. While walking on the winding path along the reservoir, tourists can enjoy beautiful lotus flowers. This adds new attraction to the local rural tourism.
