On January 14, led by a scholar from Xunmengzhai Academy, 16 teachers and students from South Korean universities and research institutes such as Seoul National University and Tuixi Research Institute visited the Changjuan Cultural and Tourism City in Chenzhou to experience the intangible cultural heritage of Southern Hunan.
Xunmengzhai was founded in 1548 and promoted the spread and development of Neo-Confucianism. Over the past four hundred years, numerous outstanding scholars have been cultivated here.
The team learned about the cultural resources of Chenzhou City, visited the Guanyun Art Museum and the Mineral Crystal Museum, and conducted calligraphy exchange activities at the Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum.
“The tour to Chenzhou Changjuan allows us to have a deeper understanding of the natural resources as well as historical and cultural resources of Chenzhou,” said a researcher from Tuixi Research Institute.
Chenzhou Changjuan Cultural and Tourism City is a reception center for Chinese and Korean tourists, and it is the second batch of Korean cultural exchange teams to visit Chenzhou, reflecting the functional responsibilities of Chenzhou Changjuan.
The team also visited the Chenzhou Museum and held cultural exchange activities with Zhou Dunyi Research Institute of Xiangnan University at Ailianhu Lianxi Academy and Rucheng Lianxi Academy.
