A matchmaking conference for Chenzhou to promote cultural tourism products in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) was held in Shenzhen, Guangdong province on September 25. About 200 people including those from key scenic areas and travel agencies in Chenzhou and GBA, Hong Kong and Macao youth representatives, news media reporters participated in this event.
It aims to attract citizens in GBA to Chenzhou for travel and sightseeing.
At the meeting, a promotional video for Chenzhou’s cultural tourism was played, showcasing the beautiful scenery and profound culture of Chenzhou. Afterwards, taken into consideration the travel needs and preferences of GBA tourists, a fun scenario sketch with four themes was given. Rucheng County and Shimu Hot Spring International Tourism Resort have vividly promoted their hot spring resources and tourism products, which aroused strong interest from Hong Kong and Macao tourists and young people.
At the event, the Hunan Kunqu Opera Troupe, one of the eight major Kunqu opera troupes in China, brought wonderful performances, showcasing the beauty of Chenzhou’s intangible cultural heritage.
In addition, interactive activities such as shaking and lucky draws were launched to present the audience with Chenzhou cultural and tourism gift packages and scenic spot tickets.
The activity of “100,000 Hong Kong and Macao young people travelling Chenzhou” was also launched, and the Chenzhou Cultural Tourism Market Development Office in South China was also unveiled.
HACTO and Chenzhou Tourism Resources Federation, as well as the Hong Kong Association of Small and Medium-sized Travel Agencies and the Chenzhou Travel Agency Industry Association, signed strategic cooperation agreements to further deepen the exchange and cooperation of cultural and tourism markets between the GBA and Chenzhou.
