Huang Qingxiong who is the member of Geothermal Commission of China Energy Research Institute and former Rucheng Geothermal Agricultural Application Research Institute said: “there is an ancient legend saying that it was used to be 10 suns in the sky which made the fields fail to plantation, so Yan Emperor deployed Hou Yi to shoot 9 suns. One of the suns dropped to Reshui, which enabled it to be with hot spring.”

The natural flow of Rucheng hot spring is 5540tons with the highest temperature of 98℃. More than 30 microelements are available in the hot spring, that’s why the eggs cooked by the hot spring are especially tasty.

Ms. Guo who is one of the residents of Reshui town said: “the hot spring makes their lives more convenient, no matter cooking, bathing, or washing are ok.”

Besides “hot spring county of China”, Rucheng county is also famous as “ancient ancestral halls county of China”. More than 710 ancient ancestral halls dated to Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dynasties with different styles were well reserved there. Lu’s ancestral hall, Fan’s ancestral hall, and other over 10 ancestral halls were listed as national key relics’ protection units.

Rucheng ancient ancestral halls are dedicated, elegant, grand, and unique.
