Followed with the three-year greening project requirement listed by the Anren county party committee and Anren county government, Haoshan town carried out a scientific greening project from last winter. During the two seasons of winter and spring, thousands mu of mountain were covered with green trees. Because of their great efforts, the town fulfilled the targets set by the greening office of the county ahead of time schedule. On this point, Haoshan town was awarded the secondary reward on county’s greening work assessment. According to the plan, 4300 mu afforestation work would be finished in 2013, and the whole barren mountain afforestation task would be finished within three years.

1. Specified responsibility system was figured out to promote the greening project. A leadership team consulted and led by the town’s secretary of party committee and head of the county separately was established to carry out the three year greening project figured out by the town. All villages were laid out with specified tasks which were covered for the assessment of villages’ cadres. According to the requirement, all the villages finished the tasks would be awarded with 1000 yuan, while the ones failed would be fined with 600 yuan and no qualification for annual advanced units. Besides these, management and protection mechanisms were established to make sure all the greening project work can be with expected greening effect.

2. The greening project work was promoted scientifically on the basis of local condition. Great efforts would be placed on the greening projects along the two key rivers and main road of the town and some demonstration projects construction.

3. The greening projects would be carried out step by step. All the projects and plans concerned for greening work would not be handled out at the same time, it would be promoted one by one within three years to fulfill the target that to upgrade Haoshan town as Hunan provincial ecological demonstration town.

4. All people would be encouraged to take part in the three-year greening project. Different propaganda work should be held in the villages to impress people with better awareness of the importance to carry out greening project. Some cadres’ volunteer trees planting activities should be carried out every year to set the example to encourage more people join in the greening project.
