“Attractive CMGS, Global Sharing”- in the morning of May 19, 2016, the 4th China (Hunan) International Mineral Gem Show which was sponsored by Hunan Government and Ministry of Land and Resources and undertaken by Chenzhou Government and Hunan Ministry of Land and Resources was opened in Chenzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center,

Chen Xiangqun- Member of Hunan Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and First Deputy Governor of Hunan Province announced the opening of the show. Cao Weixing- Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Land and Resources attended the opening ceremony and delivered an address there. Xiang Lili- Secretary-general of Hunan Government hosted the ceremony. Yi Pengfei- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee made a speech on the ceremony.

Followed the tenet of “gathering global resources, forging international brand, extending cooperation, and carrying forward scientific civilization”, the theme of “year of originate of mineral crystals”, and key contents of the world’s boutique minerals, more than 1200 domestic and foreign exhibitors were attracted to attend the show, and a large number of world’s top level boutique collections were displayed there. Merchants, fans, investors, and visitors from the world can enjoy the charm of “city of mineral crystal”- Chenzhou from this show.

The show was carried out with the model of “1+3” that the main venue (core hall) was set in Chenzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center, and three sub-halls were set in World’ Non-ferrous Metals Museum of Chenzhou High-tech Zone, Chenzhou Shizhuyuan Mineral Crystal Museum, and Chenzhou Geological Resource Museum. In the following 5 day, 13 events would be handled out, such as display of mineral crystals, International Summit Forum, 2016 Symposium for Land & Resource Museum Specialized Commission of Chinese Association of Natural Science Museum & launching ceremony for International Ecommerce Platform of Mineral Gems, signing ceremony between Chenzhou Government and Amer Group, inaugurating ceremony of Hunan International Mineral Resources Exchange Center, Summit Forum of Jingui Silver “Internet+ Non-ferrous Metals”, scientific popularization, investigation trips for mines and mineral originate, commercial meeting & launching ceremony of world’s mineral crystals and gourmets, mining industry show and communication, and etc.

Yi Pengfei stated on his speech that Chenzhou is a divine “green land”, “blessing place”, and “treasured place”, as well as “world’s non-ferrous metals museum”, “county of Chinese non-ferrous metals”, “county of amorphous graphite”, “silver city of China”, and “city of Chinese decoration stones- city of mineral crystals”. As one of the significant poles of Hunan provincial regional development strategic layout of “one core, three poles, four belts, and multiple points”, as well as “frontline” of reform, “investment low-lying land”, “highland of opening up”, Chenzhou city forged “cooperative, opening, and win-win” investment condition with the spirit of “openness and inclusiveness, realistic and innovative” and was improved to be a livable emerging city.

Cao Weixing stated that with the great supports of domestic and foreign fellows, China (Hunan) International Mineral Gem Show was handled out successfully three times from 2013. The sponsors of the show tried great efforts to improve it to be a platform of minerals display, commerce and trade, scientific popularization of geology, and cultural communication in last three years, and now it has been improved to be a professional and international brand of mineral gem industry and contributed greatly to the popularization of science and improvement of mineral gem industry. Series theme events as minerals display, summit forum, scientific popularization of geology, and etc. would be handled out during the show. Cao expressed his hope that all attendees can reach further cooperation via this platform.

Federico Pezzotta- Chairman of Museum Commission of International Minerology Association stated that they would enhance the cooperation and improve the development of mineral gem industry via the base of Chenzhou city, platform of CMGS, and medium of mineral gems.

Some leaders from Ministry of Land and Resources, officials from Hunan provincial subordinate departments, some municipals leaders of Chenzhou city, and honorable guests, experts & scholars, and journalists from domestic and foreign media attended the opening ceremony.
