As a supervised enterprise of Hunan SASAC, Hunan Shizhuyuan Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Hunan Nonferrous Metals Holdings Co., Ltd., with its stake controlled by the latter, and a core enterprise of Hunan Nonferrous Metals Holdings Group. It is a large state-owned mining enterprise with a whole set of mining, processing and smelting as well as one of the newly identified five bases of comprehensive utilization of mineral resources.

 

 Located at Suxian District of Chenzhou City, the enterprise is 20 km away from the urban area. It has land rights covering an area of 15 square kilometers, mining rights area covering 35 square kilometers. There are rich mineral resources in this area, with as many as 143 kinds of minerals, 360 million tons of mineral resources and 1,616,900 tons of metal reserves. As a world-famous multi-metal deposit, it boasts identified mineral resources valued more than 200 billion yuan, and is regarded as the "Museum of the World's Nonferrous Metals" by both Chinese and foreign geologists.

 

The enterprise attaches great importance to the leading role of technology. Numerous scientific and technological achievements in mining, processing and smelting in turn are adopted to greatly improve recycling rate of processing and comprehensive utilization rate of resources. In new product development and research, the products have been developed from unification to pluralism and from primary products to fine and further processing. Now the enterprise has become the largest tungsten concentrate, bismuth concentrate, and bismuth ingot producing base in the country.

 

For a long time, the enterprise has been actively expanding domestic and foreign markets, and strengthening foreign trade and economic and technical cooperation so that it has stepped on the track of sound progress.
