2017-05-14

When the WeChat starts, a blue earth photo, named "blue marble" and also called "blue agate" impressed many WeChat users and was shot by American astronaut Harrison Hagan, Schmitt on the moon. On May 12, Zheng Jianrong, General Manaer of Chenzhou International Mineral Gem Expo Co., Ltd. told reporters that Dr. Schmitt will participate in the CMGS and all procedures have been completed at present.

Dr. Harrison Hagan, Schmitt is a geologist, astronaut and was a senator. He was the twelfth man who stepped foot on the moon. In 1972, Dr. Schmitt landed on the moon by Apollo 17, which has created a number of historical records according to NASA data. One of the best known about Apollo 17 is a picture called "blue agate", which was shot by Harrison Hagan, Schmitt.

At that time the spacecraft was running to 45,000 km away from the earth and Schmitt photographed the earth photos. When shooting, the spacecraft was opposite to the sun, so the size of the earth was like the small marble played by children for the astronauts aboard the spaceship at that time.

According to Zheng Jianrong introduction, Dr. Schmitt is 82 years old this year and he has always had a strong interest in mineral gemstones as a geologist, so that he would like to experience the mineral gems from around the world again in Chenzhou. Zheng Jianrong told reporters that Dr. Schmidt has made a physical examination and then will come to Chenzhou.
