On December 23, the second (2019) Rucheng Top 10 Agricultural Special Brand Selection hosted by Rucheng County Party committee and county government was announced, and a grand award ceremony was held. More than 30 Rucheng agricultural special product brands with strong local characteristics and cultural connotation made a wonderful appearance, and 14 agricultural special brands were listed.

Located at the junction of Hunan, Guangdong and Jiangxi provinces, Rucheng County is the "vegetable garden" and "vegetable basket" of Hunan, Guangdong and Jiangxi. There are vegetables, fruits, tea and agricultural by-products everywhere. According to incomplete statistics, there are 183 kinds of agricultural special products in Rucheng, and there are more than 40 agricultural special brands with initial production scale, especially Xiangru Chili, Ruzhila, Gaoshan Honey, Ruhua Game, Selenium Mountain Tea, Baimao Tea, Dahe Rice Cake , Wenming Nai plum, etc., which have become famous brands in Rucheng County. The Xiangru chili series products produced by Rucheng Fanhua Food Company not only occupy 60 percent of Hunan restaurants in the Pearl River Delta, but also go overseas, becoming the live label of Rucheng agricultural specialty brand.

In recent years, Rucheng County Party committee and county government have attached great importance to the construction and development of agricultural specialty brands, adhered to the strategy of "ecological priority, green development" and "innovation leading, open and rising", focused on building five agricultural leading industries, including green vegetables, organic tea, characteristic fruits, ecological breeding, flowers and seedlings, and promoted the upgrading of agricultural industry. Last year, the county government set up a project for brand building, applying for 6 green foods and 2 pollution-free foods. High quality rice, alpine vegetables and brand tea have been listed in the construction planning of provincial agricultural products supply base.

According to the organizer, the agricultural special brand selection will be held once a year in Rucheng County. The purpose of holding the agricultural special brand selection activity is to launch Rucheng products, make Rucheng brand sound, and better promote the construction and development of local characteristic brands.
