It was reported that first session of third council of Chenzhou Municipal Overseas Association was held in Chenzhou city on November 27, 2013. The new leaderships of the council were elected from this conference. Chen Xiao- Deputy Minister of Hunan Provincial United Front Work Department and Liu Hesheng- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee attended the conference and delivered speeches there. Liao Yuegui- Member of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee, Minister of Chenzhou Municipal Organization Department and Minister of Chenzhou Municipal United Front Work Department addressed a working report on the conference.

President, vice president, secretary-general, and administrative members of the third council of Chenzhou Municipal Overseas Association were elected from this conference. Liao Yuegui was elected as the president of the third council. Some consultants and honorary presidents were engaged on this conference as well. Furthermore,“regulations of Chenzhou Municipal Overseas Association” was revised and approved by the conference.

Chen Xiao- Deputy Minister of Hunan Provincial United Front Work Department highly affirmed the experience and methods handled out by Chenzhou Municipal Overseas Association on the promotion of the association’s work. Chen stated that more different activities should be expanded by the association to enhance its strength and to be upgraded as a good platform for overseas communication and investment attraction.

Liu Hesheng emphasized on the conference that Chenzhou Municipal Overseas Association should fully play the role of its advantages on talents, concepts and resources to provide better service and upgrade its work. At the meantime, more communication and cooperation with overseas merchants should be promoted by the association to upgrade Chenzhou city’s international competitiveness and help to expand the international market for local enterprises.
