It was learned that the list of establishment of Hunan provincial strong tourism county and famous tourism town (village) was released by Hunan Provincial Tourism Bureau recently. Rucheng county, Changsha county and other 8 counties were enrolled in the list of 2013 Hunan provincial strong tourism county. Huangcao town of Zixing city, Kaihui town of Changsha county, Hupingshan town of Shimen county and other 12 counties (villages) were enrolled in the list of 2013 Hunan provincial famous tourism county.

According to “3521 project”which was launched in 2010 in Hunan province, it was aimed to establish 30 strong tourism counties, 50 special tourism counties (villages), 200 special and famous tourism villages, 1000 star level rural tourism resorts and family hotels in three years. Once finished, a featured Hunan rural tourism and leisure tourism network would be formed in Hunan province. Chenzhou city placed great efforts on the construction of village tourism projects to develop some special tourism products and upgrade the comprehensive effects of rural tourism. Great achievements were gained by Chenzhou city with this development that Zixing city and Yizhang county were established as Hunan provincial strong tourism county; Reshui town and Sanjiangkou town of Rucheng county and Mangshan village of Yizhang county were established as Hunan provincial famous tourism town (village); Heping village of Suxian district, Yangshan ancient village of Guiyang county, Banliang village of Yongxing county, Xiaobu village of Beihu district and Layuan village of Yizhang county were established as Hunan provincial special famous tourism village; and Muqiu villa of Guidong county, Leshui leisure resort of Suxian district, and Yan Empire hot spring tourism resort of Zixing city were enrolled in the list of Hunan provincial five-start rural tourism landscapes.
