Recently, the State Council approved Chenzhou City of Hunan Province, Lincang City of Yunnan Province and Chengde city of Hebei Province to build a national sustainable development agenda innovation demonstration zone.
Among them, Chenzhou City will take the sustainable utilization of water resources and green development as the theme to build a national sustainable development agenda innovation demonstration zone.
Chenzhou City, known as "the back garden of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan", has developed rapidly in recent years and become one of the most potential cities in Hunan Province. Chenzhou has obvious advantages in terms of its location, resources and development prospects.
Since ancient times, Chenzhou has been the "throat" between the Central Plains and the South China coast. It is not only a place for strategists to fight for, but also a national excellent tourist city. It is the "South Gate" for Hunan to connect Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.
According to the introduction, Chenzhou City will focus on the low efficiency of water resources utilization, heavy metal pollution and other issues, integrate the application of water pollution source blocking, heavy metal pollution remediation and treatment and other technologies, implement the ecological environment protection of water source, heavy metal pollution and comprehensive treatment of the source, urban sewage treatment, quality improvement and efficiency enhancement, ecological industry development, water-saving society and water-saving city construction, scientific and technological innovation support and other actions, coordinate all kinds of innovative resources, deepen the reform of system and mechanism, explore applicable technical routes and system solutions, form an effective mode that can be operated, replicated and popularized, play a demonstration role in promoting ecological priority and green development of the Yangtze River economic belt, and provide practical experience for the implementation of the 2030 sustainable development agenda.
According to the relevant planning, the construction of Chenzhou national sustainable development agenda innovation demonstration zone will be divided into three steps: by 2020, our city will make remarkable achievements in the sustainable development agenda innovation demonstration zone, explore and form a system solution of sustainable utilization and green development of water resources, basically build a collaborative system of water environment protection, ecological industry and green development, and initially form water resources sustainable utilization and green development mode. By 2025, the leading capacity of science and technology will be greatly improved, and sustainable industrial structure, production mode and life style will be basically formed, which will serve as a model for sustainable utilization and green development of national water resources. By 2030, we will successfully build a green water and green mountains model area, a green transformation model area, and an inclusive development pilot area, making significant contributions to China's implementation of the 2030 UN agenda for sustainable development, radiating similar areas in China, and forming replicable sustainable development experience for similar areas in the world.
