The theme activities of Shazhou Red Tourism Scenic Spot have distinctive characteristics and strong originality, which have a wide influence inside and outside the province and have a high brand value. Since 2016, General Secretary Xi Jinping has told the story of "half a quilt" on many occasions. The central and provincial mainstream media have conducted a comprehensive and extensive report on the Shazhou. Centering on the theme of "half a quilt", literary and artistic workers inside and outside the province have carefully created a number of excellent literary and artistic works, further expanding the influence of "half a quilt" stories. Among them, the "half a quilt" created by the National Peking Opera Theater was performed at the 2019 new year drama party. General Secretary Xi Jinping and other party and state leaders watched the performance. As the place the story of "half a quilt" takes place, Shazhou Red Tourist Attraction has won the unanimous affirmation of experts and scholars and the attention, care and support of leaders at all levels. The market radiation scope is expanding, and the number of tourists is rising. The total number of tourists received exceeds 4 million, and the tourist satisfaction of the scenic spot is more than 95 percent.

The "half a quilt" story has been chosen into the third batch of national education bases concerning the next generation of Party history, national defense education base of Hunan Province, Hunan patriotic education base, the "four forces" education practice base of economic daily, the teaching site of Party spirit education of Party cadres in the provincial government organs, the Party spirit education base of Hunan development and reform system, and Chenzhou Party innovation theory on the popularization of propaganda and speaking base, Chenzhou Municipal Party School of the CPC Chenzhou Administrative College Party education base and more than ten education bases or teaching points.

In August 2019, the "half a quilt" Party spirit education base was listed in the record catalogue of cadre Party spirit education base approved by the municipal (Department) Party committee, and is one of the six Party spirit education bases in the province listed in the record catalogue by the Organization Department of the Provincial Party Committee. It has become a well-known educational base for Party spirit education, clean government education, national defense education, patriotism education and revolutionary tradition education in China. There are an endless stream of training teams here. Central ministries and commissions, Party organizations at all levels inside and outside the province have carried out 1135 activities in Shazhou, and received more than 80 leaders at or above the provincial and ministerial level.
