The former site of the General Health Department of the Red Army is located in Shazhou Village, Wenming Yao Township, Rucheng County, 48 kilometers away from the county. At the beginning of November 1934, the red army passed through the Wenming Department of Rucheng County during the long march. According to the March arrangement, the General Health Department of the Red Army was stationed at Zhu Tongwu's home in Shazhou Village, Wenming township. The former site of the General Health Department of the Red Army of Chinese Workers and Peasants was built in the sixth year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of Qing Dynasty (1880 A.D.), with civil buildings of about 130 square meters.
According to Zhu Xuanyang, a local witness, the villagers of Shazhou Village at that time were deceived by the landlords and gentry, and most of them went to the mountains to escape. After the officers and soldiers of the General Health Department came to camp here, they widely publicized the Communist Party's idea of going north to resist Japan and the discipline of the Red Army, took the initiative to help the masses solve their problems, prevent and treat diseases, repair houses and mend windows, and the villagers helped the Red Army soldiers wash clothes, and established deep friendship with the local villagers in a few days. Up to now, there are still moving stories about Xu Jiexiu and the three women of the Red Army.
