Chenzhou Ranks Second Place on Hunan Provincial Ambient Air Quality Rating in this February

According to “air quality ranking of February, 2015” released by Hunan Provincial Department of Environmental Protection that Chenzhou ranked the second place which was higher than the forth place in this January.

 

It was introduced that Hunan Provincial Department of Environmental Protection followed “standards of ambient air quality” (GB3095-2012)to release the ranking list of air quality of 14 cities and autonomous prefectures from this January. It was the first time for Hunan province to follow new standards, which was one year ahead of national regulated requirement. According to the ranking list, Hunan provincial air quality was 22.3% better than January. Jishou, Chenzhou and Huaihua city won the top three places, while Hengyang, Loudi and Zhuzhou city ranked on the last three places.

 

It was introduced by Jiang Hongbin that air quality was affected by climate, wind direction and the weather condition of cities around. There is no border for air. The key standard to check the air quality is national standards of ambient air quality. In 2014, 86% days met the qualified standards in Chenzhou city. Comparatively speaking, Chenzhou city’s ambient air quality is ok.

 

It was introduced by Li Hao- Deputy Director of Automatic Office of Chenzhou Environmental Monitor Station that currently the haze problem is serious in some areas of China. Though under such situation that some cities suffered from serious air pollution problem, Chenzhou city’s air quality was improved. All the achievements should be thanked to “three establishments”, upgrading of greening work, management of construction sites, and etc.
