In the morning of August 25, 2014, an old man who just looked around in the administration hall of Yongxing Disabled Persons Federation was brought to the notice of Huang Zhihui- one of the staffs there. Huang actively asked the old man whether he needed help or not. Once learning that the old man was an retired cadre of Yongxing Police Security Bureau and came here to apply for the disability certificate for a disabled old man in Yongxing Nursing Home, Huang passed the information to the Director of the Hall- Liu Yuying immediately. After checking some details by visit the old man in person, Liu issued the disability certificate to him accordingly. All the work was done in just 20 minutes. The retired cadre highly appraised for their help: “I’m quite moved by the kindhearted behavior of Yongxing Disabled Persons Federation and their high working efficiency.” The story mentioned above was just one of the miniatures for Yongxing Disabled Persons Federation to promote the establishment of Hunan provincial civilized city.

In order to promote the establishment of Hunan provincial civilized city, Yongxing Disabled Persons Federation kept to follow the ideas of the establishment work and handled out different measures to assist the establishment work. It played the best advantages of propaganda columns, display boards, banners, LED displays, and etc. to carry out the propaganda work. The volunteers work was placed as the key point for the establishment that some volunteer stations were set up in the administration hall of the federation, Binhe road, Wenchang road and some other communities. Over 50 activities for helping the disabled persons were handled out there, which greatly helped to encourage people to join in the work. The federation also innovated some service mechanisms on the basis of its functions and characteristics and set up the service platform to upgrade the service level. It also followed the requirement of “three-establishment” to handle the greening and light-up work by placing relative investments. At the meantime, specified responsibility mechanism was carried out there to improve the sanitary condition.
