One Chinese character can tell the history of a city as well as every mine has its long history. When reporters arrived at Shizhuyuan National Mine Park on July 10, 2014, Hunan Shizhuyuan Non-ferrous Co., Ltd. was busy in forging a unique theme park by fully playing the mine culture with every details as rocks, mineral crystals, instruments of production, mining and metallurgy devices, and etc.

It was introduced that Shizhuyuan National Mine Park was the largest national level one under construction in Hunan province. This 86.66 square meters big park was launched 2012, including 47.06 square meters core scenic areas. Exhibition center of mining culture, sports park, exhibition zone of mining remains, exploration area underground, aquatic recreation area, high mountain scenic area of Qianlishan mountain, original ecological zone of Jinshiling, drifting belt of mining culture, and mine park museum were the key projects of this park which were planned to be invested with 630million yuan. Theme park and mine park museum were about to be finished recently.

The theme park was located in the east bank of Donghe river, covering 980mu areas. Over 40,000 cubic tailings were transferred from this area where was used to be a waste rock glacier and 340mu polluted soil were renovated to handle the construction work. The theme park was recovered with green views. It was introduced that huge pans which were used to plant the 16 sago cycas in the square were the waste smelting steel ladle. Theme stele which was the landmark of this park was consisted with the main body and foundation support. It was about 14.3meters high which indicated the 143 minerals discovered in Shizhuyuan mine. The main sculpture was figured out on drilling alloy bit which showed the vigorous spirit of the mine workers. 12 golden totem poles were originated from the water supply pipes which were used in 1970s when Shizhuyuan mine was just founded. These poles indicated 12 advantageous minerals of the mine. 20 innovative steel sculptures were set along the sides of travel channels, which were made from the waste devices and parts by the subordinated departments of the company.

It was introduced by Feng Wei- Deputy Commander of the park that the main body of the mine park museum has been finished and was on the process of decoration currently. Both the theme park and mine park museum were estimated to be finished before this November and would be opened to public then.
