When reporters arrived at Suxian Garden, many people gathered there to enjoy their leisure life. A person who showed “Chenzhou Daily” newspaper to his fellows attracted the reporters’ eyes. They came closer to his circle and listened to their discussion. “I was surprised to find that there are so many parks and gardens in Chenzhou city now. 104! So many!” “The parks and gardens were the important leisure places for citizens especially the old people like us, so we are sensitive about their construction. By reading this report, we learned the complete details of it.”said Huang Jingcai- a retired teacher who played chess with Chen Jingliang- the person who showed “Chenzhou Daily” newspaper there.

On hearing the reporters and Chen’s talking, some people who were dancing there shared their joys with them. They were used to play cards in earlier days for lacking of playgrounds, but now assisted with the parks and gardens, they can enjoy some other colorful entertainments, such as playing badminton, walking with family members or friends, and etc. Some young people dated there as well.

Better living condition with the parks and gardens

Huang Xiangkuang who was 40 years old now lived in the First Vocational Institute of Chenzhou City. “Wangjiang Park, Shiliuwang Garden and Suxian Garden are near our house, so every night when my family planned to go out, we have to hold a small family meeting to confirm which one should we go.”gladly said by Huang.
“It is really a ‘sweet headache’ for us to choose the parks and gardens. I just learned that there are over one hundred parks and gardens available in Chenzhou city now. If time is free, we will travel around all of them.”

Xu Jiangru who lived near Chenzhou Agricultural Bureau said to the reporters: “it is really a comfortable journey to walk from my home to Wuling square.” No armored concrete, just the greening images of the units, courtyards and walls available along that journey, which made people feel like walking in a big garden not a city.

City with one hundred parks and gardens- building for all the people

A netizen named “Yujiangjinglei” launched an activity “taking a photo of the most beautiful part of Chenzhou city in your eyes”.

Most of the pictures submitted by people were for the parks and gardens available in Chenzhou city.

“Now, other cities are busy in constructing high buildings and some symbolic mansions, but Chenzhou city is working on the construction of parks and gardens.”said “Yilutongxing”, “such kind of behavior which can benefit all Chenzhou people should be praised.”

“Many cities faced a narrow-neck problem of capital on the process of upgrading.”said Deng Daqing- professor of Economics Department of Xiangnan University, “Chenzhou city carried out different ways to collect the funds and solve the capital problem hindered on the way of further promotion of the construction of parks and gardens from 2009. At the meantime, a ‘ten-billion investment’ plan was handled out successfully. Such kind of achievements were a miracle for this city with only 20billion yuan annual fiscal revenue.”

Chen Manxiong- a professor of the Party’s School of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee said: “all the parks and gardens were followed specified planning to benefit people who lived near there.”

“I traveled around many cities and drawing pictures there. Comparatively speaking, Chenzhou city’s gardens and parks construction was with its unique features”said Zhang Guangjun- a professor of Arts Department of Xiangnan University, “differently from European countries application of geometrization and shapes, Chenzhou city’s gardens and parks were constructed on the basis of topographical change to match the nature well.”
