The beautiful image of Jintian lake after one-week impoundment

It was learned that Jintian lake landscape which was located in Donghe river of Chenzhou High-tech Industrial Zone was under trial operation process recently. Once finished, it would be opened to the public.

The lake can only be called lake when it is with water. Jintianhu impoundment project- the core part of Jintian lake was launched on July 2, 2014 after a long term preparation work. Once gate opened, Donghe river’s water was poured into the lake. Clear water, blue sky, island in the center of the lake, pavilions, and green trees made people feel comfortable on walking along the lake.

It was introduced that Jintian lake landscape of Donghe river was established along east and west banks of Donghe river, which was a part of heave metal pollution treatment project of Donghe and Xihe river. This 3.6kms long project covered with 2300mu areas, which was purposely to be established as an ecological and natural landscape. Jintian lake was the core part of the landscape, which was dig out from the tailings site of the mine area. The total water area of Jintian lake was over 1000mu, including internal and external lake. It was the biggest artificial lake available in Chenzhou urban area currently. Once finished, Jintian lake landscape would be another demonstration project for the comprehensive renovation of natural environment, which can compete with Xihe wetland reservation area well to show the environmental protection concept of Chenzhou High-tech Industrial Zone.

As introduced by Kang Jian- Vice Manager of Jintian lake landscape of Donghe river, 2kms long greening work from Jintian avenue and Shihu avenue has been finished which indicated that the lake was preliminarily ready for opening to the public. The rest projects were under the final construction stage. The landscape was estimated to be opened to the public in this August.
