On April 13, 2018, the site exploration forum of Xingyi-Ganzhou High-speed Railway was held in Rucheng County.

The Xingyi-Ganzhou High-speed Railway begins in Xingyi City of Guizhou Province, passes through Langshan of Xinning County, Yongzhou, Lingling, Shuangpai, Daozhou, Ningyuan and Chenzhou, and arrives in Ganzhou of Jiangxi Province, which is the rapid passage between three provinces of Guizhou, Hunan and Jiangxi and Kunming-Xiamen High-speed Railway. The whole railway passes through 3 provinces, 5 cities, 3 states and 25 counties and cities, the total estimated length of about 1176.21 km.

The total length of railway in Hunan Province is about 525 km, with estimated investment of about 56.6 billion yuan. The railway passes through Beihu District, Suxian District, Jiahe County, Guiyang County and Rucheng County in Chenzhou City.

The standard of railway construction is grade I of national railway with double line electrification and dual-use of passenger and cargo, which is an important passage for connecting Beijing-Kowloon Railway, Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, Jiaozuo-Liuzhou Railway, Luoyang-Zhanjiang Railway and other main railway lines, designed at 200 kph per hour.

On April 13, 2018, the relevant responsible person of China Railway Eryuan Guiyang Branch, Municipal Development and Reform Commission, and the counties and cities of Chenzhou line held a forum in Rucheng County.It was understood that the designers made a brief introduction on the construction mode, technical standards, and route direction of the Xingyi-Ganzhou High-speed Railway in Chenzhou City, and discussed in depth the contents of the plan with the participants at the forum.

The construction of Xingyi-Ganzhou High-speed Railway is of great significance to poverty alleviation and development along the line. It fills up the blank road network in southern Hunan, southeast Guizhou and southwestern Guizhou, and is an important way to link the main lines of Beijing-Kowloon Railway, Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, Jiaozuo-Liuzhou Railway, Luoyang-Zhanjiang Railway and other main railway lines. At the same time, it covers the rocky desertification area of Yunnan, Guangxi and Guizhou, the Wulingshan region and the Luoxiaoshan region, which are of great significance for promoting poverty alleviation and development along the line.

Li Zhiqiang, Rucheng County Standing Committee and Executive Deputy County Director, said that the opening of the Xingyi-Ganzhou High-speed Railway is necessary for the development of the county to overcome poverty and tackle major problems, is what the people want, and is what the society expects, which not only reflects the needs of development, but also shows the prospects and potential of future development in Rucheng County, even also reflects the state's concern and support for our county. The relevant departments and townships in the county will certainly actively cooperate with the railway construction work. At the same time, he hoped that the China Railway Corporation will further strength efforts, actively promote the preliminary work of the project and strive to start construction at an early date.
