It was learned from Changde Tourism Bureau that the great tourism development pattern was basically formed in Changde city by fighting for the construction of “two landscapes, three golden travel routes, four rural tourism demonstration areas, and five special tourism products” and establishment of ecological, cultural, and leisure tourism city. “Two landscapes” refers to construction of two core landscapes of the Peach Garden and Liuye Lake. It was aimed to establish Liuye Lake to be national tourism resort and the Peach Garden to be national 5A landscape. “Three golden travel routes” refers to “urban area (Liuye Lake)- the Peach Garden- Huayanxi”, “urban area (Liuye Lake)- former residence of Lin Boqu- Chengtou mountain- jiashan mountain- Huping mountain” and “urban area (Liuye Lake)-Qingshui lake- West Dongting lake wetland”. “Five special tourism products” refers to development of convention and exhibition tourism, cultural tourism, sports tourism, red tourism, and industrial tourism. Till now, tourism facilities for the establishment began to take shape.
A comprehensive tourism industry system was established along with the tourism industry development pattern with the joint cooperation among counties and departments. The tourism planning system was perfected by listing tourism infrastructure construction and key tourism projects into national economy and social development planning. All the counties and districts of Changde city have finished the formation of general planning of tourism development and key landscapes and the revision work for “general tourism development planning” (2014-2025) has been launched as well. Project construction work was accelerated as well with the cores of urban area, Liuye Lake and the Peach Garden, which was purposely to promote the brand of “peach garden”. The tourism functional construction work was enhanced as well to promote the tourism infrastructure construction and establishment of modern tourism transportation network. The tourism markets were expanded as well by handling some propaganda work in other cities and provinces as Beijing, Xi’an, Shenzhen, Yunnan, HK, Hubei, Anhui, Jiangxi, Zhangjiajie, and etc. Better regulation and management work was carried out to enhance the tourism training and daily supervision. Relative subsidy mechanisms, selection activities, and etc. were helpful to upgrade Changde city’s tourism industry.
