Summary of 2014 China Hunan Tourism Industry Expo
It was reported that 2014 China Hunan Tourism Industry Expo which was with the theme of “Splendid Xiaoxiang, leisure Chenzhou”was closed in Chenzhou city on September 21, 2014. The beautiful Chenzhou sceneries and splendid Hunan views made the audience enjoyed themselves well and helped the expo to gain the splendors, development and happiness.
Usually brilliant with different highlights: comprehensive upgrading of Hunan tourism image
In Changsha pavilion named “happy Changsha, travelling destination”, visitors can find the perfect combination of traditional Hunan embroidery skill and modern auto engineering; in Chenzhou pavilion where was with the theme of “city in the forest, leisure city”was exhibited with Dongjiang lake’s beautiful sceneries, Linwu duck and other local characteristic tourism products... All cities and enterprises tried their great efforts to promote their tourism features and tourism products to attract more visitors.
As the tourism industry expo which was with the highest level, largest scale and best commercial opportunities compared with earlier expos, this expo covered with 30,000 square meters areas, including 22 special stands and 312 standard stands. Over 600 organizations and enterprises attended this expo.
Besides fully show Hunan province’s tourism image and its achievements on the development of tourism industry, some more innovations would be promoted in this expo. Image pavilion of 4 characteristic cultural tourism counties of Hunan province, comprehensive image pavilion of some strong tourism counties of Hunan province, image pavilions of tourism enterprises, pavilion of the top ten rural tourism brands of Hunan province, pavilion of tourism products contest winners’ products, and theme pavilions for cities and autonomous prefectures of Hunan province were set in the expo. Pavilion of the top ten rural tourism brands of Hunan province and comprehensive image pavilion of some strong tourism counties of Hunan province were shown on the expo for the first time.
At the meantime, the new types of tourism operations as smart tourism, self-driving, camping, limo, and etc. were exhibited on tourism industry pavilion, ecological pavilion, smart tourism experiencing pavilion, outdoor devices pavilion, which helped to take active actions to meet the demand of the development of tourism industry and upgrade the comprehensive image of Hunan tourism industry.
Win-win cooperation: closer regional cooperation on tourism
Some exhibitors from Guangdong province, Jiangxi province, Guangxi province, Beijing city and other places attended this exhibition. They did not just add some more connotations and atmospheres for the expo with their unique local tourism images and products, but helped to enhance the joint cooperation and promote win-win cooperation of regional tourism development.
In the seminar of construction of Nanling ecological tourism and ecological function zone, 6 cities from 4 provinces discussed the development strategies for the leisure tourism of Nanling area and reached a consensus on the declaration of Nanling ecological tourism. On the symposium of “tourism falls love in villages” Hunan rural tourism work and promotion of Hunan tourism products, cities and autonomous prefectures from Hunan province shared their ideas on the development and upgrading of Hunan rural tourism products and special tourism products.
Great achievements were gained for tourism economy in this expo. It was recorded by the organization committee of this expo that the total trading volume hit 10.36million yuan on site and the intended signing amount was amounted to 58.30million yuan.
Active participation: visitors’ enthusiasm on travel was reignited
The participation of the public was highlighted in this expo that it paid much more attention on the public service. During the 3-day expo period, lottery named “free ride, 100,000yuan prize”, free traveling in Chenzhou city, “love you, Chenzhou” music carnival, and some other activities were held accordingly. 4200 vouchers rating 20yuan- 2000yuan were issued to the visitors. Hundreds of media and tourism merchants traveled Dongjiang lake landscape and other sceneries for free to collect more tourism information of Chenzhou city. More than 144 performances as folk songs, folk dances, folk operas, intangible cultural heritage, and etc. were operated during this expo.
Due to theses colorful activities, people’s enthusiasm on attending the expo was greatly mobilized, over 100,000people and 53 media from domestic and abroad were attracted to visit the expo, which helped to form a sound atmosphere for this expo. One of the visitors talked to the reporters: “all the beautiful sceneries shown in this expo were provoked our passions to go and enjoy the real beauties there . ”
