When reporters arrived at Chenzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center, Mr. Xie was enjoying the ceramic work “leader sheep” which won the gold medal of Hunan Tourism Products Contest in 2014 China Hunan Tourism Industry Expo.

It was introduced that Hunan Excellent Tourism Area (City) Souvenir Prize and selection of essential purchases of Hunan tourism were covered in this contest. 7 gold medals, 14 silver medals and 20 bronze medals were ranked for the souvenir prize. The works selected by Chenzhou city won 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals and 1 bronze medal.

It was learned that the ceramic work “leader sheep” was created by He Luwen- Deputy Director of Zhou Guozhen Ceramic Art Museum in Anren county. He was nurtured with the art of Anren county’s traditional folk custom of rice modeling. As the nephew and student of Zhou Guozhen- international ceramic art master and professor of Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute, He was well taught by Zhou. He Luwen used pearl glaze skillfully to indicate texture of the sheep’s skin which not just show the meek and cute features of the sheep, but impress the audience with the leadership temperament of the sheep.
