In order to promote the development, transformation and upgrading of rural tourism in the new stage, principals of tourism bureaus from14 cities and autonomous prefectures of Hunan province and some operators of the rural tourism gathered in Chenzhou city to attend the symposium of Hunan rural tourism work and share their ideas on rural tourism.

According to the data, till the end of 2013, there were 7 national demonstration counties and 14 national demonstration sites of leisure agriculture and rural tourism, 60 famous tourism towns and over 4000 rural leisure tourism spots available in Hunan province. In recent 3 years, more than 600 new and expansion rural tourism projects covered 5.5billion yuan were carried out in Hunan province. Guiyang county of Chenzhou city implemented 26 key projects and launched Shennong leisure cultural park project with one billion yuan investment by seizing the chance of establishing national leisure agriculture and rural tourism demonstration county.

The principals of tourism bureaus from14 cities and autonomous prefectures of Hunan province and some operators of the rural tourism delivered their speeches on the symposium. They presented their comments and suggestions for online promotion activity of “most beautiful village, happy & leisure” 2014 Hunan rural leisure and tourism products and the construction of “standardization management, characteristic construction, large-scale organization, specialized operation, fining production and warm service”handled out by rural tourism operators.
