Suxian District Feitianshan Town was merged from the original Wang Xian, Town and Qiaokou Town, located in the eastern part of Suxian District, Feitian Mountain National Geological Park inside. The town is the necessary place and middle point between the Chenzhou City and 5A-class Dongjiang Lake Tourist Attraction, about18 kilometers away from them. It is the largest town in Suxian District, a total area of 274.19 square kilometers with 19 administrative villages, 6 neighborhood committees and 31,800 people. The natural resources are richly endowed by nature and the forest coverage rate reaches 85.8%, rich in water resources and perennial rainfalls, Shanhe Reservoir inside which is the important water sources in Chenzhou.

The original Wangxian Town is the provincial health town and eco-town, and is also a small town construction demonstration town, rural environmental remediation demonstration town and urban and rural development model town; The original Qiaokou Town is the demonstration town in Hunan Province and won the title of Top 10 economic towns in Chenzhou for four consecutive years from 2011 to 2014. In recent years, the provincial, municipal and district levels attached great importance to the development of tourism and small towns in Feitianshan Town, and have given great support to policies, funds and projects. The government increased investment, paid close attention to infrastructure construction, constructed eco-tourism projects, and focused on the characteristics of leisure tourism to make the advantages of Feitianshan eco-tourism more obvious and broader prospects with the opportunity to host China Chenzhou International Leisure Tourism Culture Festival in October 2015.
