Stone Museum in Sanxiangsishui tourism cultural street of Dongjiang Lake

Doulv Karst Cave

Journalists from more than 50 domestic and foreign media visited Zixing city to enjoy their investigation trip to Dongjiang Lake Landscape in the morning of May 6, 2016.

Dongjiang Lake Stone Museum which is located in Sanxiangsishui tourism cultural street of Dongjiang Lake is the largest stone museum of China with most complete selections of rare stones under current situation. The museum was covered with 350million yuan investments. More than 10,000 items of 300 species such as decoration stones, fossils, agate jades, mineral crystals, and etc. were displayed in the 10 zones of the 6500 square meters big hall. A yardang named “Chinese dragon and phoenix” is “the most precious treasures of the museum” for its unique shape and divine image.

Clear water is covered in the mist, while the green mountains are reflected in the clear water. The mountain cultivates green bamboos, while fantastic world is curtained behind the bamboos. All journalists are amazed by the gorgeous image of foggy small Dongjiang. It was introduced that 6:30-8:30am and 5:30-7:30pm every May- October are the best time for enjoying the foggy image of small Dongjiang.

Doulv Karst Island is located in the biggest island of Dongjiang Lake- Doulv Island. When the red door of the cave was opened, all visitors were favored with the cooler wind blow from inside. A journalist said: “it seems that the refrigerator is opened.” Doulv Island which is a limestone karst cave is about 2.7million years old. The widest part of it is about 70meters wide, 40meters high, and 5000meters deep. Currently, just 1/5 of the cave has been exploited out.
