Qu Hai emphasized on the scheduling conference of environment quality

A scheduling conference of environment quality & launching conference of comprehensive treatment of “one lake, two rivers, and three streams” was held in Chenzhou city on June 5, 2016- World Environment Day. Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City required that the comprehensive treatment work should be fully promoted to solve some prominent problems on air quality, water quality, establishment of national model city of environment protection, and then maintain the sound environment condition forever.

A video recorded on the secret investigation trip of environment protection was shown on the conference, as well as the air quality in the first 4 months of 2016 and performance on establishment of national model city of environment protection. “Chenzhou city’s three-year plan for comprehensive treatment of ‘one lake, two rivers, and three streams’ (2016-2018)” was released on the conference as well. The principals of counties and district and some key enterprises of Chenzhou city delivered their declarations there.

Qu Hai emphasized that environment protection became more important on the overall work, so all departments should get this point and take active actions to protect ecological condition of Chenzhou city and ensure it to be improved stably during “13th five-year plan” period.

Qu also stressed that the weaknesses should be improved to upgrade the ecological condition; long-standing debt should be paid off, while no new debt occurs, and green development concept should be well implemented; pollutions should be governed to grant the city with excellent air quality; more attention should be paid on wastewater treatment of industries, large-scale breeding plants, and etc.; more intensified enforcement work should be carried out on fighting against illegal behaviors which would affect sound environment; early warning system should be perfected to save environment safety risks; and the work on treatment of Xiangjiang river, pilot of ecology red line, establishment of model city, and etc. should be carried out comprehensively.

Qu stated that the treatment of key regions should be promoted comprehensively and forcefully by highlighting key points; relative tenants should be followed to serve for the comprehensive treatment of “one lake, two rivers, and three streams”; “10 major projects” as water pollution control should be carried out to grant sound ecological condition of the basin; regulated scheduling work should be handled out to solve the problems hindered on the way and launch some new projects; and environment protection work should be promoted with joint efforts.
