In the morning of April 5, 2016, when reporters arrived on the greenhouse base of He Hongliang who is one of the major vegetable planters of Tianzhuang village, Rucheng county, groups of farmers were busy on picking up the fresh vegetables and loading on the trucks. It was introduced that the fresh vegetables would be delivered to Shenzhen city where people can enjoy their lunch with them.

In recent years, followed the operation mode of “company + cooperative + major planter + ordinary farmer”, Rucheng county introduced Guangzhou Yuewang Company to place 115million yuan on the construction of 680mu standard steel frame greenhouses and 1500mu outdoor vegetable base. It drove the development of 8000mu vegetable base surrounded the area and helped to promote the improvement of cold storage and warehousing of vegetable processing and production lines for dehydrating vegetables. Their vegetables were exported to 50 stores of HK directly. Relying on the 120,000-ton vegetable and fruit exportation agreement signed between Hunan Changqingfa Company and HK Vegetable Chamber of Commerce, the county introduced the company to place over 300million yuan on the construction of HK exportation vegetable base in Daping town and Jingpo town. 3000mu core base, 10 smart seedling greenhouses covered with 50mu lands, and 1000mu high standard production greenhouse were built there.

Till now, Rucheng county placed over 10million yuan capitals on vegetable plantation and supporting facilities, mainly on 30,000mu pod pepper centered with Yanshou, 10,000mu winter vegetable base centered with Quanshui, 3000mu professional vegetable base in Tianzhuang, 3000mu pinto bean base in Maqiao town, 1000mu Chinese kale base in Jingpo, and 1000mu fresh ginger base in Wenming. Currently, 2 trucks vegetables amounted with 200,000yuan value vegetables are delivered to HK every day from Daping HK Exportation Vegetable Base. Now, more than 180,000mu vegetable bases have been cultivated in Rucheng County with an annual production capacity of 237,000tons and annual output value of over 370million yuan.
