It was required by Hunan provincial tourism investigation team

It was reported that Chen Xianchun- Director of Hunan Tourism Bureau led an investigation team to check Chenzhou city’s tourism development by visiting some landscapes, tourism projects, and rural tourism scenic spots in Yizhang county, Beihu district, and Suxian district. Yi Pengfei- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City.

The team visited Mount Mang National Forest Park, Xihe landscape belt, Wangxianling tourism resort, Tongyuan Chenzhou ancient town project, Heping village, Feitian Mountain Landscape, and etc. to study the details of Chenzhou city’s improvement of demonstration county of popular tourism, Chenzhou- Guangdong tourism gallery, tourism functional zone, and some tourism projects.

Chenzhou city tried great efforts on improving and integrating its tourism resources to popularize its leisure tourism brand. It also held some large scale tourism festival events to promote the development of tourism industry. It paid more attention on tourism reform of the supply front to meet consumers’ demands by introducing and cultivating tourism entities, applying advanced management concepts in domestic and abroad, and promoting the transformation and upgrading of tourism industry. All of those helped its tourism economy to be improved rapidly and soundly.

From 2011 to 2015, 143million visitors were received by Chenzhou city, including 1.25million foreign visitors, and its tourism revenue was amounted to 88.1billion yuan. It kept top place on Hunan provincial tourism industry assessment for 4 consecutive years, ranking in the first phalanx of Hunan province.

Chen Xianchun stated that Chenzhou city is with abundant, high taste, and strong complementarity tourism resources, so its tourism industry is extraordinary important in the larger pattern of Hunan tourism. A new chance is coming for further development Chenzhou tourism industry. It should be improved as an international tourism leisure zone by the breakthrough of establishment of Chenzhou-Guangdong tourism corridor, construction of two corns of Dongjiang Lake and Mount Mang, and improvement of tourism industry around the two corns.

Chen emphasized that Chenzhou city should take active actions to adapt to the new situation of popular tourism and promote the tourism reform of the supply front; should comprehensively integrate the resources of ecology, culture, tourism, internet, finance, and etc. to improve its international tourism industry with sound financing and marketing platforms; should well handle the tourism poverty alleviation work to promote the improvement of well-off society; and should pay closer attention on safety to grant safe environment of the tourism industry.
