“It is so good that it can even grow on dry rocks!” gladly said by Zhong Yunfei, one of the villagers of Changqing village, Sidu town, Guidong county who just got hundreds of money via selling the fresh vine tea leaves. He was also glad that his family can lift out of poverty.

“It can be sold as 16yuan/kg, so we can get more than one hundred yuan by picking the fresh tea leaves in half a day. It is much more than the income obtained by growing corn and cole,” introduced Zhong. Datang Shanzhen Sidu Wild Vine Tea Processing Plant and Yulinxuan Wild Vine Tea Processing Plant which are “little love projects” were placed to operation. Zhong and some other villagers were granted with purchase contracts at protected price of 16yuan/kg. Thanks for that, he is capable to get rid from poverty with two times of income.

It was introduced that there are 1006 people of 343 households in 10 groups of Changqing village which is a representative poor village located in remote mountainous area. Though the wild vine teas are full of the village, villagers never benefited from it before for there were no processing plants and machines available there. Now, thanks to the promotion of industrial poverty alleviation and government’s supports, two tea plants were placed to operation, which enabled the fresh leaves can be purchased and processed at the first time. 129 poverty stricken families of Changqing village which are similar as Zhong Yunfei’s need the aid as well. This wild vine tea industry can provide local villagers with an effective way of gaining more income.

Besides wild vine tea, golden-autumn pear and grain flower fish are two more accurate poverty alleviation projects handled out by Changqing village.
