The award ceremony of chess games of first Chenzhou Games

The 3-day chess games of first Chenzhou Games were finished in Guidong county on September 10, 2015. Guo Yongmei- Investigator of Chenzhou Media Group and some county leaders of Guidong county attended the award ceremony and presented the prizes to relative teams.

Chinese chess, Go and Bridge are included in the first Chenzhou Games. 305 team leaders, coaches, and players from 51 teams and 28 judges attended the games. 109 players from 23 teams were for Chinese chess games, 59 players from 11 teams were for bridge games, and 94 players from 18 teams were for Go games. The games for singles, doubles and teams were carried out with the round robin system. Top 6 teams and top 16 individuals for departments group, district & county group and enterprises group were fought out during the 3-day games.

The players behaved well on the intense competitions and communicated with each other after the games, which well indicated their sound quality and teamwork spirit. Beihu district team and 302 team of Hunan Nuclear Industrial Geology Bureau won the first title of Go team competition in district & county group, and departments group & enterprises group respectively. Guidong county which was the host of the games won the forth place on district & county group. Beihu district and Dongjiang Hydropower Plant won the first title on bridge team competition in district & county group and enterprises group respectively, while Guidong county won third place in district & county group. Beihu district, State Grid Chenzhou Power Supply team, and Chenzhou Media group won the first tile of Chinese chess team competition in district & county group, enterprises group, and departments group & respectively. 17 players as Huang Chunhai were awarded as excellent athletes, Liu Jun was awarded as excellent chief judge, and 5 judges as Cao Yiying were awarded as excellent judges. Suxian district team, Guidong team and other 7 teams were honored with the title of “sportsmanship award”.

The chess games were hosted by Chenzhou Government and undertaken by Chenzhou Media Group and Guidong Government. As the undertaking place of the chess games, Guidong county prepared relative quite environment for the chess games and also provide nutritional foods for the players. All the work handled out by Guidong county for the chess games were highly appraised by the athletes and coaches.
