The reporters were touched by Xiao Zhenbin’s expression in the first interview, especially for his pursuit of carrier and love on family, colleagues, and friends. As the Director of Dongguan Chenzhou Chamber of Commerce and General Manager of Dongguan Dongyu Photoelectricity Co., Ltd., Xiao has an ambitious dream entrepreneurship and also rich affection to his hometown.

About entrepreneurship: hard working regardless of any condition

In 1996, Xiao Zhenbin resigned from his company which was on lamplight and audio industry, though he could get good pay from the job. He said the key reason for his resignation was for the poor expectation of the Karaoke industry and his former company transformation because one big project stopping running on the midway. Till 2008, his private company transferred to be a LED high-tech photoelectricity company with the functions of R&D, production, marketing, and service. After over 20 years’ hard working, Xiao Zhenbin reached the peak of the industry.

He never forgot the case that he went to find some businesses in a heavy rainy day in 20 years ago. It was the first case he got after he established his private company. In order to get the case, he placed all his capitals on it desperately. As he described, it was heavy rain in that night blowing hard. He drove the motorbike on the rain. The wind almost blew me to the other side of the road on his drive. Though his consultant who was his good friend as well persuaded him to return to company earlier for the bad weather, Xiao insisted to visit the customer. Hard work pays off. He won the case finally.

Thanks to the first pot of gold, Xiao Zhenbin was capable to expand his company. Now, the night scene cases undertaken by his company were nationwide.

About chamber of commerce: issuing new policies to promote the development of hometown

It is limited for one person’s power,” said Xiao Zhenbin. It is really hard to win a big case without enough capitals and power in the place far from your hometown. So, in 2010, in the beginning of establishment of Dongguan Chenzhou Chamber of Commerce, Xiao joined in the family of Chenzhou merchants in other place and was selected as First Deputy Director of the chamber. Xiao worked together and shared the resources with the members to develop themselves as well as the chamber. Till now, there are more than 200 members available for the chamber which is much more than the tens of members in the beginning.

In 2014, on the preliminary meeting for changing the term of the chamber, Xiao was selected as the new Director of the chamber. On taking over the post, Xiao visited the members and helped them to solve problems without stop. “I can’t let the county fellows down. I have to strengthen their confidence on the chamber. ”

It is the first issue to solve the financing problem faced by the members. Xiao Zhenbin proposed to establish chamber investment company, so that it is better to upgrade the chamber’s hematopoietic function. As he mentioned, it does not only keep and increase the value of the membership fees paid by the members, but also can provide capitals to the members via the platform. “On this point, the chamber can be more attractive for some potential members.”

“Dongguan city is the hometown of our carriers, while Chenzhou city is hometown in our dreams. ‘Dongguan-Chenzhou alliance’ is the congelation of our family affection and extend of our carrier.” In order to assist the transformation development of Chenzhou city, Xiao handled out the reform of the chamber drastically. Some departments cored with “Department of government and enterprises” and “Department of interior affairs” were established in the chamber. The former one is mainly in charge of upgrading the communication between government and enterprises and obtaining more favorable policies for enterprises from the government, while the later one is in charge of promoting the mutual communication among the enterprises of the chamber.

“In future, we will build Chenzhou Merchants Building, even forge the great alliance of Chenzhou merchants in the world.” Xiao Zhenbin is very confident on his future plan. Furthermore, he invited some “people who are caring for Chenzhou city” to join in the chamber. “People who are not from Chenzhou city are capable to join in the chamber. Now, some members are from Fujian province, Wenzhou city, and other places. We organized to visit Chenzhou city for many times and investigated some projects there.”
