It was the first time to held this kind of national level chess game in county
It was reported that the quarter final of 16th Chinese Agon-Kiriyama Cup was completed on July 28, 2014 in Youth Center of Jiahe Jiulaofeng landscape. Zhou Ruiyang who beat Chen Yaoye and Jiang Weijie who beat Fan Tingyu entered the semi-final successfully.
The quarter final was opened at 2:30p.m. on that day. Hua Yogang who is the Vice Chairman of China Go Association was the Chief Judge of that game and announced the beginning of the game. Chinese Agon-Kiriyama Cup was sponsored by CAIFC and China's Chess Academy. Hua Yigang and Chen Chuying interpreted that game.
It was introduced that the top eight winners played out in China's Chess Academy on July 7, 2014.
The quarter finals were held on July 28 and 30, 2014. Two competitions were held in Jiahe county and other two were carried out in the academy. 200,000yuan award would be issued to the winner who would fight against the winner of Japan later. The winner of the competition China vs. Japan would be granted with 5million yuan award.

As introduced by Hua, the key reason to choose Jiahe county to handle the quarter finals were the hospitality of Jiahe people and sound Go atmosphere of the county. It was introduced by Liu Tao- the Director of Jiahe's Chess Academy that Jiahe Go Association was established in 1993 and the academy was founded in 2013. Currently, the Go classes were set in 7 kindergartens of Jiahe county.
