It was reported that the preliminary meeting for the 3rd China (Hunan) International Mineral & Gem Expo was held in Chenzhou city recently. Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City required that the exhibition should be well handled with international concept and international level to show and promote Chenzhou city’s mineral and gem resources to the world.

Mineral & Gem Expo is China International Mineral & Gem Expo which was approved by the State Council and was exclusively to be handled in Hunan province. The first two times were held in Changsha city. In this August, Hunan provincial government authorized Chenzhou city to hold the 3rd China International Mineral & Gem Expo and confirmed that the expo would be handled by Changsha city and Chenzhou city alternatively from then on. Currently, the overall plan have been preliminarily figured out and the expo layout and planning agencies have been confirmed.

Qu stated that with the unremitting efforts, Chenzhou city finally got the right to host Mineral & Gem Expo. It benefited from the upgrading of Chenzhou city’s city quality, transportation facilities, comprehensive strength and exhibition level. It also indicated the Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Hunan Government’s trust and expectation on Chenzhou city. It was significant and influential to handle the expo successfully that it would be greatly helped to promote Chenzhou city’s development of mineral economy, gem industry, convention and exhibition economy and tourism industry.
