The mobilization conference for third China (Hunan) International Mineral & Gem Expo (short for Gem Expo) was held in Chenzhou city on February 2, 2015. Xiang Lili- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee emphasized that all people should be fully mobilized to join in the preparation work of this Gem Expo and fight for holding the expo to be an international level and influential grand meeting with Chenzhou features. Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee hosted the conference.

Followed the decision and deployment of Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Hunan Government, the third China (Hunan) International Mineral & Gem Expo would be held in Chenzhou city from May 21-May 25, 2015. It was the first national level international professional exhibition approved by the State Council to be held in Chenzhou city. On January 31, 2015, Du Jiahao- Deputy Secretary of Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Hunan Provincial Governor listened to the preparation report for this expo and required that Chenzhou city should carry out the Gem Expo to be an international influential grand meeting. In order to well hold the expo with high standards, high level and high quality, Chenzhou city hold this mobilization conference to summarize the preparation work handled out in earlier stage, lay out the work and tasks for next stage, and mobilize all Chenzhou people to join in this preparation work with unified awareness.

Xiang pointed out that all people should be aware that it was significant for Chenzhou to hold this expo, it was a hard-won chance for Chenzhou to hold this expo and it was a difficult task for Chenzhou to hold this expo. The Gem Expo would be helpful to upgrade Chenzhou’s internationalization and modernization, to promote the new development of Chenzhou under the new normal, and to gather the positive energies of Chenzhou’s reform and development. The Gem Expo should be placed as “first project” among all important activities of Chenzhou city. All city should try best to do the preparation work and ensure the expo to be opened smoothly and handled out successfully.

Xiang required that the Gem Expo is the first gem expo which would be held in Chenzhou city. All departments should try best to handle it out to be an international and influential grand meeting with Chenzhou features on the basis of international views and first grade standards. It aimed to forge the Gem Expo to be another international name card of Chenzhou city. Some other work on theme activities, investment attraction, propaganda, upgrading of city construction, service and safety should be handled out well.

Xiang emphasized that the organizational leadership for the Gem Expo should be enhanced as well. All departments should pay great attention on the preparation work and work together to promote it smoothly. Strict responsibility system, scheduling work and supervision work should be carried out as well. All departments should take active and rapid actions to handle the preparation work with high efficiency, high standards and high level to grant the Gem Expo with strong organizational support.

Qu stated that the chance should be well treasured and seized. It was significant for Chenzhou city to hold this Gem Expo. It would not only help to cultivate new increasing point and new type of business, but would also help to mobilize the comprehensive upgrading of relative industries and accelerate Chenzhou city’s internationalization and modernization. The time should be well scheduled to promote the improvement of preparation work. The international and national investment attraction work should be well handled to promote the construction of Chenzhou Gem Industrial Park. The propaganda work especially on central and Hunan provincial media should be improved to expand the influence of the expo. The performance and service should be well performed. All working departments of the Gem Expo and relative department should figure out the plan previously to cooperate with Hunan provincial subordinate departments. All other work should be fully carried out to create sound atmosphere for the expo, which was aimed to handle this expo with Chenzhou features and more splendors and to be more influential than last two times of the expo.
