It was learned that Chenzhou Geological Resource Museum is a“national level international professional museum” which is operated with the purpose of “gathering the global resources”. It is a mineral and gem museum ranking in top three place of China and first place of Hunan province, and it is also the first national professional mineral and gem museum of Hunan province.

Chenzhou Geological Resource Museum is mainly for the exhibition of “world’s mineral and gem”. Mineral crystal, fossil, aerolite and museum zones are set in the first floor of the museum. Natural rainbow fluorite “golden couple” which was awarded the golden prize in Shanghai International Jewelry Show, “Man-Han banquet”sourced with rare stones, and other precious gems are being exhibited in the first floor. Finished jewelry products of gems, semi-gem, jade, and etc. and customized jewelry, innovative design, professional media, verification institute, books and video products, and other zones are planned to be set in the second floor. Flagship halls for mineral and gem factories are set in the third and fourth floor. There are 2000 international standard stands available in the museum where is with over 20,000square meters exhibition areas. Currently, over 800 categories of mineral and gems from 12 countries are being exhibited in the museum.

Chenzhou Geological Resource Museum provides a communication and cooperation platform for international mineral and gem industry. As a geosciences education base, it also provides a sound research platform for the scholars of the industry. It is helpful to popularize the geological knowledge and promote the healthy and sustainable development of mineral and gem industry. The museum was confirmed as Chenzhou mineral and gem trading market & online auction trading platform by Chenzhou Municipal Government, which helped to provide a trading platform for the collectors.

It was introduced by the principal of the museum- Xia Guoping that the museum would be kept being opened to the public freely after the mineral show.
