Main hall: amazing momentum； Sub-halls: lingering charm

There are “one center, three sub-halls” set for this mineral show. This pattern helps to grant the mineral show with the most comprehensive display.

On May 20, 2015- the day before the opening ceremony of the mineral show, the reporters visited the main hall- Chenzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center and three sub-halls- Shizhuyuan National Mine Park Museum, Chenzhou World’s Non-ferrous Metals Museum and Chenzhou Geological Resource Museum. The exhibition arrangement work for all the halls has been finished. Too many exhibits shown there that reporters could not have enough time to enjoy them.

Recommended route: enjoying the treasures exhibited in the second floor first and then going to the first floor to buy some favorite goods

Tips: catering zone and ATM machines are facilitated in every floor

Due to there are too many treasures exhibited in the center, the reporters can only introduce some most representative ones to readers.

First floor- the comprehensive exhibition zone and marketing zone: it is mainly for the marketing of gems, jades and root carving crafts. Ancient fossils, Guilin bloodstones, Yunnan Huanglong jade, dinosaur fossils, Lingnan decoration stones, and Guilin decoration stones are available there.

When stepped into the center from the north entrance, the reporters noticed a root carving craft of giant “sheep” which implies the meaning of “exaltation”.

On the right hand, it is Longqi Art Studio which mainly exhibits root carving crafts.

Two small stands of UK and USA exhibitors are set in the opposite of Longqi Art Studio. Their main products are ancient fossils. There are volunteers there to provide translation service on-site.

Some Chenzhou local rare stone stands which exhibit Guilin bloodstones, Yunnan Huanglong jade, Fujian Shoushan jade, and etc. are set along the way from Longqi Art Studio.

On the left hand, it is the display area for investment attraction and culture of this mineral show. Guilin decoration stand and Lingnan decoration stand are adjacent to the display area. Some other gem and jade stands are set near there as well.

There are two stands that you can’t miss in your trip- group exhibition zone of Chinese museums and dinosaur fossil exhibition zone. Some ancient fossils and precious treasures from some national and provincial level museums are shown there. The most attractive ones are dinosaur egg fossil and huge Ruyang dinosaur femur fossil.

On the visiting, some principals of the stands told the reporters marketing price of the exhibits, and the reporters found that most of the exhibits price marked in the stands are cheaper than the ordinary marketing price.

Second floor- concentrate exhibition zone of mineral crystals and gems: it is mainly for the exhibition of mineral crystals and gems and some rare and precious treasures. Chenzhou stand, Chenzhou gem & jade stand, Zheng Fine Mineral stand, Lavinsky stand, the Collectors’Edge stand and some other boutique stands are set there. 

When reporters stepped into the second floor of the center from the south entrance, they noticed Zheng Find Mineral stand which is with gems, minerals, jades and some animal models. It is a beautiful and funny stand.

On the back of the stand is collectors stand. A“white-jade statue of Guanyin”set there is covered with red cloth when reporters visited there. As introduced by the principal of the stand, it is the most precious treasure of the stand, and it will only be uncovered till the opening day of the mineral show.

On the right hand, it is Chenzhou stand which is full of precious treasures. Most of the rare stones and minerals are covered with thick glass shade. As introduced by one of the principals of the stand, more of the treasures are valued whopping price, so the security work handled out there are extremely strict. The most precious treasure of the stand is a howlite stone carving named “Fo Yuan”( Buddha luck). It looks like “Maitreya Buddha”of the legend tale that you can’t miss it.

Chenzhou gem & jade stand is adjacent to Chenzhou stand. The giant “dragon seal” is the most attractive part of the stand. Interpretation of the principal and time of the formation, distribution of the jades will be presented to the visitors on-site, so they can learn some knowledge there as well during their visiting trip.

On the back of the gem& jade stand, they are Linwu Tongtian jade stand and some other stands.

On the left hand, it is the comprehensive service zone of this mineral show. Customs, inspection and quarantine, reservation of hotel, oversea customs and delivery issues and other services are available there.

On the opposite of the service zone is Lavinsky stand. The most characteristic exhibit of the stand is its huge native gold.

Crossing the Lavinsky stand, you will see the Collectors’ Edge stand where you can enjoy rhodochrosites.

In a French stand, you can see a stone named “Gogotte” which is only produced in Paris, France. It looks like a ball of green veil.

A science experiencing zone for children is also set in the area that children can enjoy their time there.

Chenzhou World’s Non-ferrous Metals Museum: “science fiction” style

Recommended route: visiting the exhibition hall first, then watching 5D film, and finally taking mini-train

Chenzhou World’s Non-ferrous Metals Museum the one with best “science fiction” style among all the three sub-halls of the mineral show.

Lobby, Chenzhou hall, silver hall, bismuth hall, wolfram hall and comprehensive hall are with different features and styles.

When you stepped into the lobby of the museum from the entrance, you would feel like stepping into the vast universe. The imitations of the Big Bang and origination of non-ferrous metals are shown by sound and light that you can feel the impact of the universe vividly.

Once finished the trip in lobby, you can come to Chenzhou stand. There is a huge arc display screen set there to show the geological change of Chenzhou area in tens of thousands of years. The active puppets set in the hall show the scenes of ancient mining and smelting method of fire storm.

In the silver hall, wolfram hall and bismuth hall, all visitors can get detailed knowledge of the distribution, production capacity, and products of silver, wolfram and bismuth of Chenzhou city and learn some funny stories about them as well.

In the comprehensive hall, simulation scenes of stars, 360° surround screening room, display hall of non-ferrous metals, and etc. are helpful to learn the secrets of science.

In the 5D cinema, all visitors can enjoy a real and fantastic 5D film.

After watching the film, visitors can go the entrance of the earth’s core to start their magical adventures.

Chenzhou Geological Resource Museum: secret “treasure house”with fascinating light

Recommended route: visiting the central part first, then going to two sides and the right-hand secret “treasure house”

“Golden turtle”, “greeting pine”, “great achievements” and “journey for thousands of miles”- the four golden giant treasures which are made of Chenzhou local stalactites and calcites are set in the gate of Chenzhou Geological Resource Museum to greet all guests.

In the center of the hall is the gem and jade exhibition zone. Pink and green fluorites are set in the glass pyramids, which look like bright lamps. In the back of the pyramids, there is glass showcase where exhibit some mineral crystals as Brazil crystal, calcite, fluorites, and etc. In the right hand of the showcase is a “Man-Han banquet” made of rare stones. Keeping walking along right hand, you will find the mineral crystal stone. Some deliberate stones are set in the pecan showcases.

There is a secret house set in the right-hand of the hall where exhibits the most precious treasure of the museum- “the golden couple”. It won the gold prize in Shanghai International Jewelry Show and gold price in 2005 Hong Kong Spring Jewelry Festival. It would be worthwhile trip there.

On the left hand, it is the decoration stone exhibition zone. Most of the decoration stones are not covered with glass showcases, so you can enjoy their brightness, quality and texture closer.

If you come here to enjoy the stones, volunteers will tell you some information of their names, species, and etc.; if you like the stones, you can buy some with appropriate price; if you come to the museum by car, you can park it on flat in front of the gate of the museum; and if you feel tired on traveling around the museum, you can take a sit in the resting zones set in the museum.

Shizhuyuan National Mine Park Museum: scientific class

There are 6 special exhibition halls set in Shizhuyuan National Mine Park Museum: Shizhuyuan, Huawu Tianbao, millennium mining industry, comprehensive recycling and utilization of resources, green mining industry, and gorgeous minerals and gems. Thousands of exhibits are shown there.

In Huawu Tianbao hall, a large number of rocks and minerals are exhibited there. Visitors can get good understanding of the secrets of the stones via four platforms as world of the minerals, world of the rocks, mineral resources, and formation of minerals. Then visitors can go the millennium mining industry zone via a 1:1 mineral drive of Shizhuyuan, and learn the introduction of Dongpo ore field (which is called as Shizhuyuan ore field), the formation of polymetallic deposits of ultra-large type wolfram-tin-molybdenum-bosmuth and other deposits. Samples of 143 kinds of non-ferrous metals discovered in Shizhuyuan are exhibited on the hall as well. Visitors can learn some more information of Shizhuyan Mine by some relics and used tools of miners.
