From May 21- May 25, 2015, the 3rd China (Hunan) International Mineral & Gem Show was confirmed to be held in Chenzhou city. Let’s start a fantastic treasure hunting journey along with the mineral show which was held in the shaft head.

Transportation: once arrived at Chenzhou city by car or high speed train, just drive to Chenzhou Avenue and drive eastward for about 5.4kms, then you can arrive there

Highlights: different national level treasures from all over the world. Four animal heads of the Old Summer Palace, trilobite fossils of Morocco, Oppo dragon of Australia, the longest native gold of the world, “empress of China” rhodochrosite, 3D printing dinosaur, and etc. would be exhibited there.

Chenzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center which looks like moving wave would be shinning during May 21- May 25, 2015 in the 3rd China (Hunan) International Mineral & Gem Show for so many gather precious mineral crystals, jewelries, fossils, aerolites, and etc. from 39 countries were gathered there during that period.

It is a “mineral show held in the shaft head”. Chenzhou city which is located in the northern root of Wuling mountain is a Huaxia geological tectonic unit. Four significant tectonic deformation periods and four relative magmatic activities in the long geological times helped to shape the gorgeous “super accumulation area of metals” and form the beautiful mineral crystals. Scheelite, blende, swallow-tail twin, bournonite, and other treasures which would make collectors’ eyes twinkle on hearing the names would be presented in the center. 

Treasures from different countries would compete with each other for beauty in the center. An aquamarine specimen named “rabbit’s eye”which is the top one of the North America, the 80cms long native gold- the longest one of the world from USA, Morocco’s national treasure- trilobite fossil which is embedded with the largest amount of trilobites in one fossil, Australia’s national treasure- Oppo dragon which is honored as “the gem of fossil”, and many other rare treasures of the world are available in the center. It is the first show of“Empress of China” rhodochrosite after it returned to China. It looks like a red rose and blooms even more beautiful and charming in China. Ox head, tiger head, money head and pig head of the Old Summer Palace are also available there that visitors can enjoy the charm of red bronze in Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty.

Have you ever seen dinosaur before? Just saw dinosaurs, dinosaur eggs and dinosaur fossils in the film? In this mineral show, 3D printing technology would be worked together with mineral fossils to show the real dinosaur to the audience. Furthermore, aerolites- gifts from the stars would be helpful to show the secrets of the universe to visitors.

Once finished the travel to the mineral show, go shopping on rare stone street of Houfu road- a rare stone cultural market with the functions of production, supply, marketing, review and collection. When you are walking along the simple and unsophisticated street paved with quartzites, many rare stone shops full of colorful and amazing mineral crystals are being operated there.
