Long history invokes visitors’ thought

How long is Chenzhou’s history? It would be not so easy to get the correct answer. According to the record，Chenzhou city can be dated from the Warring States Period with over 2000 years' history. If dating back to Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors period, there were also many moved stories discovered in Chenzhou city. According to the archaeology studies, there were ascents living in Chenzhou in Paleolithic age. Take Yan Emperor for example, his stories and legends can be founded nearly all the counties of Chenzhou city.

The former director of Chenzhou historical relic management department- Liu Zhuanke stated that there were too much historic resources available in Chenzhou. Now the most important thing for Chenzhou is to develop more cultural connotations and win the national historical cultural city award and then forge the golden brand for tourism development.

Liu also stated specified characteristics of different landscapes. Han Dynasty and Chinese traditional medicine elements can be highlighted in Suxianling for Suxian was the Han Dynasty people and also a famous doctor of Chinese traditional medicine. Tang Dynasty characteristics can be specified in Wangxianling for Wangxian was the Tang Dynasty people. Ming and Qing Dynasty styles can be found on Yuhou street for it was built in that period. Some other landscapes such as tomb of Yi emperor and hinny ancient path need to be tightened on Qing and Han Dynasty culture.

As we can learn from the above information, there are so many different cultural characteristics of Chenzhou city. Now Chenzhou is on the high speed of development of tourism. It should be strengthened the local culture elements study and application to make Chenzhou characteristics to be well-known worldwide.
