It was reported that Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City investigated Yizhang county, Suxian district and Beihu district for the construction of new urbanization. Qu stated that it should take the central town construction as breakthrough to keep balance development of small town and new rural construction and promote the construction of Chenzigui-Chenyongyi great cross town cluster rapidly.

Qu Hai led an investigation team visited Baishidu town of Yizhang town, Liangtian town of Suxian district and Shigaitang town of Beihu district. 60 million yuan has been placed by Baishidu town on the unified retreatment of street façade to upgrade the image of the town. Some key projects as Jingyuan square, martyr memorial park, immigrant relocation sites, etc. were under construction in Liangtian town with rapid speed. Shigaitang town government was fighting for the establish a new town framework to meet the demand of “new town of south Chenzhou”and was handling some retreatment work as well.

A review meeting was held later after Qu and his team’s on-site visit. Qu stated that in order to promote the construction of Chenzigui-Chenyongyi great cross town cluster and overall development of urban and rural areas, balance attention should be placed on new rural and small town construction.

Qu pointed that specified guiding idea should be figured out on the basis of the construction concept of “intensive, ecological, green, low-carbon” to accelerate the construction of featured central towns; all work should be followed with the planning with ecological and culture characteristics; special industries should be played much more support to assist the town’s construction; central town construction should be accelerated especially on the infrastructure construction; modern agriculture should be improved with better guiding work; and more intensified reforms should be carried out to grant the town construction with more favorable funding, land, policy condition.
