2013 Hunan “Hong Kong Week” was held from June 17-21, 2013 in Hong Kong. Chenzhou delegation arrived there on June 18, 2013. It was learned from Chenzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce that Chenzhou city intended to attract more investment from Hong Kong by modern service industry projects,

This time, both the main venue and sub-venues of “Hong Kong Week” would be held simultaneously. The main venue was set in Hong Kong, and sub-venues were set in the cities surrounded the Pearl River Delta area. The five major activities of this week were: high level interviews, dinner party for celebrities of Hong Kong industry and commerce, symposium of CPPCC members from Hong Kong and Macau, promotion conference of Hunan province & project presentation, and press conference.

Chenzhou city planned to attend promotion conference of Hunan province & project presentation and symposium of CPPCC members from Hong Kong and Macau during this period. Some special events as key projects partnering conference of demonstration area of south Hunan undertaking industrial transfer, promotion conference of special town construction, partnering conference of strategic emerging industries, promotion conference of financial cooperation between Hong Kong and Hunan and listing abroad, and tourism cooperation exchange conference were listed in the attendance plan.

As we can see above, besides regular events held during this week, Chenzhou city paid much attention on the selection of special events. Chenzhou city was under an acceleration period on industrialization and urbanization to speed up the transformation and upgrading of modern service industry. On the basis of Chenzhou city’s practical condition and the knee requirements of its current development, Chenzhou would release 30 modern service projects during the period to attract the strategic investors.

Furthermore, some key projects would be released on the key projects partnering conference of demonstration area of south Hunan undertaking industrial transfer.
Hunan green livable town construction projects would be presented in the week for the first time. Two special projects from Rucheng county and Dongjiang river of Chenzhou city would be two highlights on the promotion conference.
