It is a very important brand for national demonstration county of leisure agriculture and rural tourism which takes important role in development of local economy. Till now, there was no such kind of demonstration county available in south Hunan area. Because of Guiyang county’s good condition, it was listed as the exclusive county for establishing national demonstration county of leisure agriculture and rural tourism by Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Chenzhou Government in 2013.

In recent years, Guiyang county’s leisure agriculture and rural tourism were promoted well. Some scaled leisure villas and star level hotels were developed rapidly in Guiyang county. In 2012, 1.632 million tourist visited Guiyang county with total operating income of 1.03 billion yuan.

To ensure the successful establishment of national demonstration county of leisure agriculture and rural tourism, a special working leadership group was formed in Guiyang county to figure out the establishment scheme and some professors were invited to join the group for presenting establishment plans. The draft of general plan and some propaganda brochures have been worked out for preparing the establishment work.

More favorable and supportive policies were released by Guiyang county for further promotion of leisure agriculture and rural tourism. According to the time schedule, some upgrading projects should be finished before July 20, 2013 to make sure it can be past the approval of establishment for national demonstration county of leisure agriculture and rural tourism by Hunan Agriculture Bureau and Hunan Tourism Bureau at the end of this July, and also to make sure it can be past the comprehensive review of the Ministry of Agriculture and the State Tourism Bureau and approved by them to be national demonstration county of leisure agriculture and rural tourism.
