It was learned from the scheduling conference of 2013 protection of historical and cultural city of Chenzhou city that the working schedule had been figured out. All the relative departments and counties should follow this schedule well to carry out the protection work to make sure the establishment of national historical and cultural city can be fulfilled well.
It was introduced that enhanced planning formulation and control would be handled by Chenzhou city to figure out the plans of protection. Concerned for the protection of tangible cultural heritage, key work would be placed on the protection of Yi emperor tomb, Li’s House, collection of culture institutions, and etc.. Concerned for the protection of intangible culture heritage, key work would be placed on the Kunqu Opera, wood carving of south Hunan, and others, especially on the establishment of long-term mechanism of cultural inheritance.

Some traditional ancient villages with special features and good protection condition would be submitted for the approval of national and provincial level historical and cultural villages. According to the report, some villages of Yizhang county and Linwu county would be under the on-site evaluation and approval process handled by the expert group of Hunan provincial historical and cultural villages in this July. At the mean time, more rules and policies were issued on further protection of the historical and cultural villages.
